MOMENTum

MOMENTum is a low table which invites the observer to forget about the passage of time. Controlled by a pump and solenoid valve, water is dispersed and flows from the edge of a super-repellent bowl towards the centre, creating symmetrical patterns and dynamic formations. The movement of the water creates hypnotizing compositions that alter the perception of time, and allow a moment to appreciate the present. By integrating primitive natural phenomena, such as the organic behavior of water with a computer-controlled algorithm, MOMENTum proposes new ways and possibilities of presenting furniture. *This project was produced under our former creative collective name KAPPES.
