Blur is a constantly evolving low coffee table that merges technology with natural phenomena, introducing a new value for the way we perceive furniture. Presenting a white rounded form with blue ink impressions that appear like water soaking into soil, the table’s surface continually transforms. Coated with thermo-sensitive ink reacting to a machine inside the table controlling temperature changes, the blue ink precipitates and bleeds like a living creature. By visualizing the invisible fluctuations of nature such as temperature changes and incorporating them into our daily lives, we+ explore new ways in which nature and man-made can interact more intimately.

温度変化によって出現する表面の繊細なにじみの動きを鑑賞する行為を促すことで、家具の価値拡張を試みるテーブルです。温度変化という目には見えない自然のゆらぎを可視化し、暮らしに取り込むことで、自然と人工が親密に関わり合う新たなもののあり方を模索しています。 青いにじみが、水がしみこむように浮かび上がっては消え、時とともに変容を繰り返します。温度変化によって無色から有色に変わる特殊なインクがテーブルに塗布されており、機械制御によりランダムにテーブル内部の温度を変化させることで、まるで生きているようなにじみの変遷が見られます。
